🎙️Coach Sikerete & Captain Mbuende interview ahead of Angola U23 Olympics qualifiers game. Sikerete on preparation: “As a team, we have prepared the two aspects and that is... very important in football philosophy... the principle of play... We were looking on how to perfect them so that it can now help us to get the job done” Sikerete on strategy: “This time around, we have to turn the strategy... a little bit our team is going to do more of an offense now... It’s not really an open game, but... we are going to attack, does not mean we are going to open up the game completely. We need to defend properly... It’s just basically to master the transition which is the key to success in every match.” Sikerete on expectations: “Basically our aim is to overcome the 1-1 draw this time around.” 🎙️Captain Vevangapi Mbuende: • On team readiness: “Obviously it’s a privilege to be leading the country... the boys are ready, we’re ready to go... It’s going to be a fight. It’s not gonna be an easy game but yeah, we really want to get through to the next round.” •On the match plan: “We have the away goal in our favour so we need to defend, right? But then also, we are not looking to sit back and wait for them to come to us. We are going to go to them because it’s our home game.” • On the fans’ support: “We are grateful for the support that the Namibian nation is giving us. We felt the support, we saw the messages they sent us, and it really encouraged us... to win tomorrow’s game.” @namibiafootballassociation
